Debates

For the past week my class has been doing debates. We learnt that each speaker usually speak 4-5 minutes long. My class just made it that you need to speak at least for 45 seconds. The topic for the debate was rules are meant to be broken. The affirmative team is yes rules should be broken. The negative team was that rules are meant to be followed. My team was the negative team (to be honest I wanted the other team to win, but I still tried my best). Debates are quite fun and they sometimes get very funny and interesting. Debates are very fun for me when I have a good team that works and gets things done. Debates are very interesting and fun.
I am going to show what i said but I don't want to reveal the others speeches unless they don't want anyone to see.

Rules are things that keep everything in order and tell you what to do and what not to do.
If there were no rules there wouldn't be peace in the world. Rules make your life safe and if there weren't any rules the world would be chaos because the rule of no killing people and hurting people won't be followed. So tell me if there were no rules would there be any peace? No, there wouldn't be any peace. Yes it would be more fun without rules but rules are there to keep you safe and so things don't get crazy. Rules are not meant to be broken. Solomon will be talking about what will happen to animals if there weren't any rules and about tourists. Jimi will be talking about what will happen to our schools and what will happen to people if there were no rules.

My First Day in Locdown

My First Day in Lockdown

2 days ago our school went into lock down because of the virus

My first day of lockdown was quite fun. I had alot of alone time for once and it was very fun.
I did some wood chopping to not make myself bored because I get bored very easily and if I
do activities that take strength or speed I don't get bored that much.
At night I did some talking to my friends and watched a bit of youtube.

Fibonacci Maths/science/art

This week we have been learning about Fibonacci. Fibonacci is a number sequence adding the past number. It starts 0+0 then 0+1 and so on. It can also be used to make spirals. If you want to do this start on a grid paper and make a 1x1 square make another 1x1 square on top then a 2x2 square beside, then a 3x3 underneath then 5x5 and keep going around until you run out of space. Once you have done the squares make an arc from one corner tot he other parallel corner and so on.

Sailing (very fun)

On Monday the 11 of November Te Kinga went sailing on Moana. Me and Jakob were sailing together and our boats name was lion because it was the yellow boat. We kept calling me fat because i was heavier than Jakob so we were capsizing just by the water but the water didn't come in luckily. We were going very fast because the boat leaned sideways a lot. Me and Jakob did not did not tip over which was luck for us. The person who taught us was Simon he sails big yachts around the world for his job which is amazing. It was my first time sailing so it was very fun for me.
